Yachats 804 Trail North

Description: This graveled trail begins at the Smelt Sands Wayside and going North connects to a 7-mile stretch of sandy beach.  Trail provides great places for whale watching tide pooling, bird watching and hiking and are a part of the Oregon Coast Trail system.

Yachats 804 Trail South

Description: Turning south (left) at the Smelt Sands Wayside the trail follows Ocean View Drive to the Yachats State Park located at the mouth of the Yachats River. Trail provides great places for whale watching tide pooling, bird watching and hiking and are a part of the Oregon Coast Trail system.

Siuslaw National Forest Trails {Cape Perpetua}

(9 trails and a 6mile /9.7k bike trail)  Cape Perpetua Visitor Center is located 3 miles south of Yachats and provides maps of the trails. There is a day use $5.00 fee to park in any of the parking areas. 5-day passes for $10.00 are available.  See descriptions below of each trail.

Captain Cook Trail

Whispering Spruce Trail

The Oregon Coast Trail

Along the Central Oregon Coast the trail runs from Cascade Head (North of Lincoln   City) and is a combination of Highway 101 and beach hiking/walking.  The trail continues through Lincoln County and ends in the Cape Perpetua trail system south of Yachats.  Continuing on the trail will lead you through forest and beach hikes down to the California border.
